At least once in our lifetime each one of us has asked the following question: what are my origins? Where did my ancestors come from? Who were they? What jobs did they do?
This is what genealogical research is for: to answer these questions and to satisfy these curiosities. It allows us to investigate, through the documents, the life of the characters who preceded us in the past, the family relationships, therefore the history of a whole family. The history of a family, will be discovered the broadest sense of the term: from the point of view of registry, of prosopography, of health, politics , society etc.), not only of a group of families, but even of an population.

HOW A GENEALOGICAL RESEARCH STARTS AND HOW IT WORKS: WE DO THE RESEARCH, YOU DISCOVER…

To start a genealogical research, the first step is simple: we need to start from data which is certain (grandfather's date, birth or name of the great-grandfather, or grandparents' wedding ...).Send us this data and we will carry out a background and feasibility research for your request free of charge and, depending on the package you have chosen from those we offer (Garibaldi, Murat, Paolo III etc.), we will give you an estimate cost. If we decide to continue we will start with a backwards research of the members of your family up to the very first documents available, or until the period you decide to arrive.
Remember: it is not necessary to be have noble origins in order to have a genealogical tree that goes as far as the Renaissance: even the most humble, at all times, were baptized, married and registered.
Genealogy is democratic!
At the end of the research we will provide you with all the documentation found (dates, names, places, professions, events, properties, etc.) in digital .pdf, or paper format, depending on your needs, accompanied by a historical-genealogical report and a graphic visual schematization of your family tree.

I am a sociologist and journalist. Member of Association of Professional Genealogist (APG) in the United States of America. I have written various essays with a historical and genealogical background. Genealogy, heraldry and auxiliary disciplines of history are a passion that I have cultivated since 1996. In that year, together with my friend and priest D. Giuseppe Cataldo, I started to reconstruct the history of my family, in the Diocesan Archive of Policastro, and at the State Archive of Salerno and Naples. From that moment on, wanting to transform this passion of mine into a profession, in 2011, together with a group of young scholars and researchers, I founded the Italian Heraldic Genealogical Studio, based in Rome and in the province of Salerno. Genealogy, like heraldry, can be considered a science, and as such, like all other scientific fields, needs a correct methodological approach and great professionalism, seriousness and dedication. I made all of this become my mission.

I was born in the Province of Latina from a family who originally comes from the province of Frosinone. I have always had the inspiration and passion to one day reconstruct the history of my family; from here I developed the passion of genealogy. Since 2011 I have been managing Origin of Italian surnames, the first and only Facebook page on onomastics. From 2013 I have been part of the project of the Studio Araldico Genealogico Italiano. I am currently the secretary of the project with which I have carried-out various researches and took part in various publications in the genealogical field.
The Library
The Library
Image The library of the Italian Genealogical Heraldic Studio is functional to the research we perform. As it is known, in fact, no historical research may be tackled without an accurate bibliographic background research. In addition to the most important genealogical and heraldic texts, our library includes numerous local history works, from which it is possible to extrapolate the history of families in the various historical contexts of origin, both municipal and provincial. The library's book heritage is constantly increasing, and the archive is enriched every day, thanks to the donations of books by members, students, institutions and associations, together with a large quantity of online material.
